Check Us Out on Frederick 360!

In July 2008 the Frederick Newspost did a story on A Pole New You just in time for our Grand Opening. They were so intrigued by the uniqueness of PNY that they came back less than two weeks with their FNP TV crew to do a piece on PNY for Frederick 360 which airs every Tuesday on Channel 10. The episode aired on August 19. We would like to thank FNP TV for highlighting A Pole New You, as well as Tara, our PNY student demonstrating her skills in the episode.

Click here to view the episode!

(Feel free to leave some great comments, especially for Tara, who did a great job!)

Pole dancing exercise for your Wii?

I know it sounds odd, but according to MTV's blog there is a rumor out there that Carmen Electra's people are in talks with Wii to license a pole dance game. I suppose it would sort of be like Guitar Hero except the pole dancing version! It is not too far fetched though. Wii already has yoga & soccer games. As a matter of fact the have entire line of fitness based games. If they do create this game...I think I'm gonna have to get me a Wii!

Thank You!

Erica -

Great job! Thank you for doing this for Tammy and me. We feel that so many women are missing out on such a fun time and a great workout because they may have the wrong idea of what A Pole New You is all about. We invite all woman to come by the studio just to take a look, pick up some literature, ask questions and try out a Teaser class where you will learn a little bit of Pole & Chair Dancing. You won't be sorry....

Just a Regular Woman

I am so excited to post the first blog for A Pole New You's new blog! You see, I am just a regular woman who happened to enroll in classes at Frederick, Maryland's only pole dancing studio earlier this summer. Because Tammy (one of the owners) found my blog online she asked me to start A Pole New You's blog. So...here goes!

A lot of people hear that I am taking pole dancing classes & they laugh. If you knew me, you'd know why. Don't get me wrong, I can be a sexy diva when I want, but mostly I am a regualr woman. You know, a mother, a wife, a daughter, an aunt, probably just like you! I am NOT 110 pounds & I am NOT 25 or under. I am just a regular woman who heard about pole dancing for exercise & thought WHY NOT? So, I gave it a whirl (no pun intended)! Now, here I am 3 months later about to sign up for my 4th session with A Pole New You. It is the most fun I have ever had working out & when I say working out I mean working out! It may not look difficult or like hard work but after one class you will have a whole new respect for anyone who does this for a living. But don't be scared! You can go at your own pace. If you live in the Frederick, MD area I'd highly recommend you come on out and give it a try. If not you can find a pole dancing studio near you here.

Visit this blog often to find out what is going on at A Pole New You & the world of exotic fitness!
